DIY carnival costume for a boy: step -by -step instructions for all costume elements

The author of the “Golden Key” Alexei Tolstoy “put on” his character in a white hoodie with sleeves to his knees and grotesquely large buttons of black color, white pants and a cap with pompons.

We sew a galary dress for Pierrot's costume:

  • Buy a white opaque, preferably not imaginary material - from it we will sew a dress for our little Pierrot.
  • Apply the patterns of the pattern on a sheet of white paper or tracing paper, and then cut them with scissors and attach them to the fabric using pins.

  • Cover the material by adding 1 cm to allowances.
  • Process on the overlock of the edge of the cut material so that they do not “pour” - it is better to do this immediately with all the cut details, so as not to be distracted by the set.
  • Stick both parts of the back, but not to the very top - leave a small cut for the fastener. Reason the seam.
  • Cut from the same material the wrap for the neck and grind them at the seams on the shoulders. Put the strap on the throat cut with the front sides to each other and stuck them. Turn out the wrap inside out, fix it and mix it.
  • Since you have already set all the details in advance, proceed to the assembly of a hoodie on one whole - first sour They using a needle and thread, and then stitch on a typewriter. It is necessary to grind at the same time the side of the dress and the lower part of the sleeve. Bend and stitch the lower part of the hoodie and sleeves.
  • Remember, you left a small cut for fasteners on the back? Sew to its upper part on one side a loop, and on the other - a button.

We make a lace collar:

  • For a collar, lace is suitable, the width of which is 10-12 cm, or nylon or corrugated tape for bows.
  • A total of such material you need to buy about 3 m. At the same time, get a thin elastic band. Cut the lace or tape with a thin elastic band, retreating 1 cm from the edge.
  • Try a collar around the boy’s neck and pull the elastic so that it is not sting, but it was not too free. After trying on, sew the ends of the tape.

We sew pants for Pierrot's costume:

  • For a suit, ordinary white trousers are suitable. But if you want to create a full -fledged suit, then white pants can be quickly sewn with your own hands.
  • Dissolve the pajama pants in which it is convenient for your boy. Power the resulting details of the trousers for matter with pins and circle them with a pencil.

  • Free the material from pins and “patterns” and cut through the circled contours.
  • Get and sweep the seams of the pants, and then the middle seam. Bend the pants in the upper part and take the elastic band there - you will get pants on the elastic band. Get pants from below.

We make pompons:

  • In total, you will need 12 pompons - equally black and white. Take a flap of fabric and cut a circle from it with a diameter of about 10 cm.
  • Put cotton wool inside the future pompon, and pull the edges of the tissue circle with a needle with a thread with a point seam. Fasten the formed cloth “tail” with several stitches so that the pompom does not fall apart.
  • Sew the pompons you make on the bottom of the sleeves. Six pompons will go to each sleeve, and white and black should alternate.

We make buttons:

  • Do you remember what huge buttons were on Pierrot's dress? Ordinary stores are not suitable for us, since this size does not happen. Therefore, we will create this detail of the decor with our own hands.
  • You will need black fabric again, from which you should cut the mugs of 7 cm in diameter (you need 2 such circles for the manufacture of one button).
  • Attach 2 circles to each other and stitch them along the edge - only leave a few cm not stitched. It is through this remaining non -stitched slot to turn out the butt of the button, score it with a cotton wool and sew it so that it turns out to be whole. Sew the buttons to the hoodie.

We make a cap:

  • To make a cap, you need to get a cardboard, satin fabric and an elastic band. Roll the cardboard in the form of a cone, fix it for starters with paper clips and try on your child's head. If necessary, make it somewhat wider or already.
  • If you guessed with the size, glue the headdress and let it dry. Use a satin fabric for lining a cardboard cone. In order for the cap to hold well in the child on the head, do the holes in the lower part on both sides of the opening through which the elastic band.
  • When you wear a child in a masquerade suit, you pass this elastic band under his chin - so you will fix the cap. And do not forget to decorate this magnificent headdress with pompons or buttons (sew them or glue them) that you have already learned to make. If there is no time for this, you can do with ordinary black paper circles.

Everyone remembers that Pierrot is constantly sad - this can be shown through a safe aquagrim. Put white paint on the entire face of the child, and “decorate” one cheek with a huge black tear. The inimitable fairytale image is ready. Your way out, Pierrot!
