How to write an essay on the topic “Why should you tell the truth”: examples of works
Here are a few works on the topic: "Why do you need to tell the truth."
Composition No. 1. Truth or lie?
“The bitter truth is better than a sweet lies,” says popular wisdom. There is no doubt that a lie is bad. But is it always appropriate and really needed?
Everyone is familiar with the situation in which they have to choose: tell the truth and offend, disappoint a loved one or to lie and protect him from unnecessary experiences. It is especially difficult to make a decision if there is a conversation with a close friend. The lie is hypocritical, and this is unacceptable for friendship. True will upset a friend, hurt him. Many in this case decide to just be silent.
What will happen if you choose the so -called "lie for good"? Probably, it will help to avoid trouble, cheer up. But be sure to pull a new lie. We’ll have to lie again and again, inventing more and more incredible stories, getting confused in the web of deception more and more. And in the end, the truth will open anyway. Respect and trust will be lost forever, and further explanations may not be needed - a friend simply does not want to deal with a liar.
It is more difficult to tell the truth than to lie. But an honest person always deserves respect, because he can be trusted, he will never betray, will not deceive and will not lie.
Great value for everyone is good human relationship. That is why it is worth making maximum efforts in order to save them. That is why, in a difficult choice between rough truth and a sweet lie, you need to give preference to the first. However, it is not enough just telling the truth. Having learned competently, at the right points to “serve” it, it will be possible to maintain good relations with a friend and not to be known as a liar.
Composition No. 2. To tell the truth is bold or stupid?
Is it possible to say that only bold people tell the truth? After all, sometimes this truth can be a destructive force that can deeply hurt and even kill a person. At the same time, the lie will hide everything bad, will continue to live calmly in ignorance.
Confirmation of this is the vivid act of Andrei Sokolov, the protagonist of the work of M. A. Sholokhov, “The Fate of Man”. Returning from the front, he met with Vanyusha, whom the war made an orphan. The little boy did not know that he was left completely alone in the whole world and there was no one else to wait. Andrei lied to Vanyushka, introducing himself to his father. But this lie saved the child. Would anyone have become better at that moment from the brutal truth that Wani's own father was taken by war?
However, not everything is so unambiguous in this matter. On the example of another literary hero, one can make sure that the truth is better than deception. Rodion Raskolnikov from the “Crime and Punishment” by F. M. Dostoevsky experiences terrible torment of conscience. He made a terrible one, but it is very difficult for him to confess this. However, he must receive for his affairs according to his merits. Understanding this, Rodion is recognized in everything, for which he bears proper punishment.
It turns out that to tell the truth, whatever it may be, can only a very brave person. Even the bitter truth will pop up sooner or later, putting a liar in the best light. But is this truth always appropriate, everyone must decide for himself.
Composition No. 3. Why do you need to tell the truth?
Why do you need to tell the truth? In fact, even journalists, politicians and public people allow themselves to lie in our time. It seems that the lie in a particular appearance has made its way to the life of each of us and forever settled in our hearts. We are already calmly reacting to the next lie from television screens, from the pages of popular newspapers and from the mouth of loved ones. Who will become easier if we all tell only the truth, and what will happen bad if everything continues to lie?
Maybe, hiding behind the famous phrase “Lies for salvation”, you can not even think about the truth? But is this lies so saving? To answer all these questions, I had to turn to classical literature. One of the brightest literary heroes personifying lies and truth are Luke and satin from the play “At the bottom” of Maxim Gorky.
Luke consoles all the night inhabitants surrounding him. A woman who dies of an incurable illness, he talks about a wonderful reassurance in a different world that she will soon gain, the thief - about a wonderful life in Siberia, a booty actor promises rapid healing in a special clinic. Luke is lying, but he lies, as if, for good and comfort.
Satin has completely opposite views on life and ideas about good and evil. He fights the truth to the end. Trying to restore justice, he is in prison. He is not indifferent to the fate of the disadvantaged, but he does not see the point of lying to them, calling the lie "the religion of slaves and masters." In truth, Satin sees human freedom. It is categorical and does not accept other paths.
Which of these heroes is right? The dying Anna accepts a lie, listens with pleasure to talk about imminent calm, but before his death, nevertheless, regrets that her life will soon fade away. The actor gets scores with life on his own, and the thief finds himself in exile. Was this one needed, albeit "comforting", but still a lie? Did she help someone? It turns out not.
This lie lay on the shoulders of Luke with a heavy stone. And Satin remained honest in front of the people surrounding him and, first of all, himself. Living with truth is always easier than with a lie. An honest truthful person cannot be shot down since the way, he is proud, straightforward and confident in himself, so he deserves respect.
Any of these works is just an example, an example of a student’s school work on the topic: “Why do you need to tell the truth.” Of course, the child may have his own ideas that he wants to express in his own work, and the proposed works will help him in this.
