According to our estimates, the cost of sheathing for a wooden fence is approximately equal to the cost of corrugated board, now it is approximately 1,200 and 1100 rubles for a piece of 1 meter wide and 2 meters high. The calculations take into account the cost of wood and impregnation for a wooden fence, as well as the price of corrugated board and metal crosses for a metal fence. We did not take into account the price of columns that are needed for fencing of both types.

After that, the boards must be painted with impregnation with a brush, and dried. Then you can start collecting a wicker fence.

We install the board at the very bottom, we abut into metal columns.
Then, using a roulette, you should measure the middle of the board and put a mark there.

Do not choose the impregnation for wood of very light shades. The bleached tree looks spectacular, but it very quickly loses color. If you treat the tree with dark impregnation, with time dark spots will also appear, but they will be invisible.
In our opinion, to process wood with waste oil is also a bad idea. The color is unattractive.
Do not try to fix the boards in a wicker fence with screws or nails if you are not sure that the columns were securely fixed. This is a vain work and such compounds will still not withstand.
Some masters advise not to put the lower board on the ground, since it is, nevertheless, a tree and it rot. You can leave a gap, which will subsequently be closed by pieces of corrugated board, slate, net, bricks or other improvised materials.
As for the clay soils, some builders claim that pillars, buried to a depth of 1.5 meters, reliably hold in them. Everything that is buried less than a meter is shortly shifting.

A wicker fence from branches is made of very different materials, it can be a willow, birch, and even maple. But we want to tell how to make a fence from branches with our own hands efficiently, beautifully and for a long time. It is not necessary to use just such a puppy. Sometimes round wire is fixed not in a pipe, but in wooden stumps, sometimes homemade wooden tools are used. There are also pocket puppies-a mini-version, when in a piece of wood, two small pieces of wire were inserted. However, it is dangerous to hold the vine with your fingers near the wire during cleaning - you can get hurt, so it is advisable to use leather gloves.

As for the process of weaving the horizontal fence, the columns can be fixed in different ways. Some, working on their site simply make columns of the same length and drive them into the ground. Others, working, for example, in the garage, use special devices. In the photo below, a wooden beam, to which a thin bending board is screwed with self -tapping screws. The columns are inserted between the beam and the board, and then they are pressed when the screws are tightened.

A large vine, about 2 cm thick, is better to stretch between the columns, placed at a distance of 15 cm from each other. For a thinner vine, the distance between the columns and 10 cm is suitable. The closer the columns will be, the denser and stronger the fence will turn out.
Thicker rods for the fence with their own hands are installed from below, and the thinnest ones are upstairs.
Thick and thin edges of the rods alternate. That is, if you began to weave the rod, starting from the thick end, then the next one must start weaving, starting with its thin part.

IMPORTANT: In order for the vine to be bent better, it needs to be soaked before weaving. Sometimes for a long vine it is convenient to use a piece of a sewer pipe with a plug instead of the bottom.

Weaving techniques can be different. In the photo below, a woven fence from willow branches, in which it is simply woven equally not one, but several rods.

Beautiful lace from the vine at the top of the fence can be done in the same way as lace at the top of the baskets and vases. The ends of such rods are woven into the fence. For more reliable fixation, one rod is slightly pulled and stretched through another through a puncture. When doing such manipulations, do not forget to moisten the vine with water so that it does not break.

As for the columns for the wicker fence from the branches - the recommendations are different, they advise:

The grandfather’s method, in which acacia is taken for columns and is burned at the stake.
Process wooden columns with a stain.
Put plastic bottles on wooden columns, and then melt them at the stake.

But the most reliable is still using more traditional methods and choose metal columnswhich are concrete. Let the metal pillars be completely short and wooden racks will be screwed to them. Of course, this is much more laborious than just getting a tree into the ground.
