A living cheerful monkey is one of the favorite characters of the kids. Very often in children's matinees, it is she who is one of the main characters.
And if you need to create this image for the children's matinee (and maybe for your own original image, for the New Year's party), you can easily make a mask (and not one, having settled a whole family of monkeys in your house) from the most common materials that are found in every house.
DIY monkey mask
Such a mask of a monkey is best done in the form of a hat, easily worn and also retained well on the head. For convenience, we take paper like brown.
Mask monkey from paper:
- Step 1. We start by measuring the circumference of the head.
- Step 2. We take brown paper and cut out two strips, so that together they are equal to this value.
- Step 3. We glue the strips between and lay it out for a while, fixing the joints using clothespins for more reliable grasping of glue. It will be a muzzle of our monkey.
- Step 4. Now we take beige paper and cut out a part of the oval from it.
- Step 5. We draw a curved line on it with a marker or felt -tip pen. It turns out the lower part of the muzzle, with a mouth.
- Step 6. Now we make ears: you can cut the oval of paper the same color as the muzzle, and cut it into two parts. We do the same from beige, but the size should be slightly smaller.
- Step 7. Glue the beige parts to brown.
- Step 8. We bend the bases of the semi -ovals and glue it to the muzzle on this fold on two sides. Again, fix the glued places with the help of clothespins.
- Step 9. We make a monkey eye. Of what? It all depends on imagination and on what is at hand. The eyes can act from the old doll, buttons, plasticine, paper circles. And you can make real puppet eyes with your own hands: glue empty tablet blisters on paper circles or ovals, inside which to put black plasticine.

A children's mask can be downloaded from the Internet and printed on a printer. If the printer is colored - you just have to make the mask more dense, gluing it onto the cardboard sheet, cut holes for the eyes and attach ties or elastic bands. If the printer is black and white, you need to paint the mask yourself. Bring the child to this occupation - he will definitely like it.
A funny mask can be made of colored paper, cutting the parts of the parts of the muzzle, ears, gluing them and fixing them on a stick. Anything can act as a wand - a wood branch, an ice cream stick, even a regular pencil.

- Take a regular paper bag, they are most often a suitable brownish color.
- Now you need to cut out all the details that belong to the muzzle of the monkey, and glue them on the bag.
- Do not forget to cut the hole so that it is at the eye level.
- Now we glue the cut parts - and the mask of the monkey is ready.
