Charlotte is a type of pie that takes any filling. In the hot season, I especially want to please myself with a strawberry charlotte, prepared with my own hand from ripe berries.

To prepare such a pie is required:

  • eggs - 4 pieces of chicken eggs, preferably home
  • strawberries - fresh berries, no more than 200 grams
  • flour - a full glass of sifted flour of the highest grade
  • sugar is a complete glass of sugar, you can less if you do not like too sweet desserts
  • baking powder for dough
  • vanillin for sweet aroma (you can use vanilla sugar)
  • oil for lubricating the mold (it is best to use butter)
How to cook strawberries?

Preparation of strawberry charlotte

  • Proteins are beaten separately from the yolks with sugar to the state of steep and dense foam
  • Yolks are added and continue to whip
  • Pour the remaining sugar and flour, beat the dough with a whisk
  • Add vanillin and baking powder
  • Lubricate the shape for a charlotte well with oil so that the pie is well lagging behind
  • Pour the dough into the shape and cover it with strawberries either whole or cut in half (if large)
  • We bake the charlotte in the oven at a temperature of 200 degrees for about 40 minutes, check its readiness with a toothpick
