How to make a vase in the technique of Sgrafito from polymer clay with your own hands?

You will need some materials to create such a vase:

The basis will be a glass vase. On its entire surface you need to apply clay. This is not at all difficult - roll out the clay and lay it out with layers without overlap.

Gently straighten the surface with a rolling pin to make it even and hide the joints.

Then you can start decorating. To do this, apply the oil paint of one color on top. It is not necessary to cover completely, this can be done arbitrarily, but as thick as possible. Apply everything carefully so as not to damage the upper layer. As for an option, apply paint with two hands, but only in gloves.

For staining, do not use acrylic paints, because they form a film on the surface after drying. If you try to scratch it, then probably damage the entire layer.

Next, take a napkin and get a glimmer with a layer of paint, but without rubbing movements. Remove the excess to make the surface matte. Do not be afraid that you will remove all the paint, because by that time it will have time to soak into clay.
By the way, to catch up, you can use more than one napkin. By the way, it can still be crushed and the texture will turn out to be unusual and original.
The next step is to apply the picture. Simply speaking, then it will have to scratch it. Remove the upper paint very carefully and wipe the tool each time so that everything is neat.

The drawing can be made absolutely anyone, it all depends on your imagination. By the way, scratching gives small defects, but this is normal. After hardening or baking clay, they can be cut off with a blade.
